The organization has been working particularly on Dalit and Human Rights since its establishment. The organization has been working closely with the development agencies and the local governments. The organization had organized various regional, district and local activities on Dalit and marginalized rights. For examples, creating public discourse through dialogue, interaction discussions on ‘Development for Dalit: Possibilities and challenges’ District level interaction on Dalit rights, training on inclusive education and its structure, seminar on strategic intervention on inclusive education and Dalit rights, interaction on access on the program for targeted groups and its challenges, interaction on challenges of caste based discrimination and untouchability act, Dalit student admission campaign etc. Furthermore, the organization has plying leading role to raise the Dalit Human Rights violence cases in eastern part of Nepal, etc.
The organization has closely worked with the governmental and Non-governmental agencies across the province one. It has implemented projects in collaboration with Action Aid International Nepal, Plan International, Open Society Foundation (OSF), Ministry of Youth and Sports, Municipalities, and other national and international development agencies to empower Dalits, promote and protect their human rights, and make the state accountable to ensure their rights. It has worked in empowering and making Dalit community unable to access and control over the productive resources, ensure meaningful participation in the decision making process, promoting inclusive education, and established a Caste Discrimination Watchdog Centre to monitor the Dalit Human Rights violation, and advocacy for their justice. Training, orientations to empower Dalit and marginalized communities and organized interactions, dialogue and discussion programs among the stakeholders like; policy makers, political parties, law enforcement agencies and civil society organizations is also a continuous work of the organization.
The organization is well established in the province-one and the leadership of the organization has a wide range of networks among the Dalit and Non-Dalit communities, leaders, and civil society organizations. The organization a good reputation in the sectors of Dalit Human Rights and social justice.Currently the organization has been implementing a project titled “Advocacy for Increasing Accountability of provincial and local government for Dalit Rights in Province -1” in partnership with the OSF. The organization has produced a research paper on the status of Dalit in Province one, reviewed the policies enacted by the provincial parliament, and analyzed the budgets of the local governments of the provinces from Dalit and marginalized communities. The organization also have been creating dialogue, interactions, discussions among the state institutions, parliamentarians, and other stakeholders to ensure the rights Dalit and marginalized communities.
